i use windows 11 and i think my device does non accept bitlocker in the first place but it has option to encrypt or decrypt its SSD and HDD. But today, after i decrypt my device, the choice to encrypt and decrypt my device is missing. it become this green button.
My laptop does not accept bitlocker so i cant change or notice the bitlocker inside my laptop and also my private account. but the key is available in my schoolhouse account. somehow my school account has my personal bitlocker fundamental while my own account does not have the key. i tried to use a link that you gave but no way to transfer bitlocker key from schoolhouse business relationship to personal account. only bankroll up the primal.
saving the central to my personal account demand bitlocker just my laptop does not have bitlocker.

I understand the problem. You should ask your school It administrator how to access the key because they control the group policy and must have enabled Bitlocker if y'all did not.
Personally I would not utilise any Windows built-in encryption because of the number of files are lost that I see here every day in forums, multiple cases every twenty-four hour period since Bitlocker came out and well-nigh as oftentimes for EFS, due to lost keys, no key or it just stops working.
During this same period I accept used simple 7Zip passwording of my own files and folders daily and never had a trouble, nor take i ever seen a single trouble reported in forums for 7Zip'southward method of encrypting athenaeum, which do NOT need to be compressed:

Thank you for your assistance. I will contact my university It admin and ask them to give access to my bitlocker fundamental and perhaps i volition ask them too, why my laptop's bitlocker key is stored by them not by me.
